Janaye Denise Pender aka "Jade"

It’s hard to put into words the heaviness we feel as we remember Janaye Pender — a light so bright, it touched everyone around her. Her energy, her laughter, her heart… she had a way of making any room feel warm just by being in it.

Born November 17, 1992, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, Janaye was the beloved daughter of Jalonda Pender and Micheal Todd. She leaves behind two beautiful children — Chance (9) and Jayla (1) — who will forever carry her love and legacy.

Janaye grew up in the heart of West and North Nashville, and graduated from Pearl Cohn High School, where she shined in everything she did — from sports to music to just being that friend everyone could count on. Her smile could light up a hallway, and her laugh was unforgettable.

After high school, she continued her journey at Alabama A&M University, where she created lifelong memories and friendships that stretched far beyond campus. No matter where she went, she brought people together — her spirit was magnetic.

Janaye was more than a friend; she was peace, love, and light all in one. She had a gift for comforting others, uplifting them, and making everyone feel seen and loved.

Even though she’s no longer here with us physically, we still feel her everywhere — in the breeze, in the laughter, in the love that surrounds us. Her spirit lives on through all of us.

💜 Forever remembered. Forever loved. Forever Janaye.

HELP SUPPORT

JANAYE'S CHILDREN

Tragically, Janaye's untimely passing has left behind her two precious children, Chance and Jayla.

Chance, aged 9, and Jayla, just 1 year old, are now facing an uncertain future without their beloved mother by their side.

As a community, we understand the importance of coming together to support those in need, especially during times of immense grief. We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are reaching out to you for help.

No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a difference in shaping Chance and Jayla's lives.

Let's rally together to provide love, stability, and support to these precious children during this difficult time.

Please join us in honoring Janaye's memory by helping to secure a hopeful future for her children.

Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.
