Janaye Denise Pender aka "Jade"

A somber shadow falls upon our hearts as we mourn the loss of Janaye Pender, a cherished soul whose light once brightened our world. Her presence was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on November 17, 1992, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, Janaye was the beloved daughter of Jalonda Pender and Micheal Todd. She leaves behind her two young children, Chance Pender, aged 9, and Jayla Pender, aged 1.

Janaye's journey began in the neighborhoods of West and North Nashville, where she attended Pearl Cohn High School. There, amidst the halls of learning, she found her place, excelling in academics, sports, and music. Her laughter echoed through the corridors, and her smile illuminated the lives of those around her.

After high school, Janaye continued her quest for knowledge, venturing south to Alabama A&M University. It was there that she forged lasting friendships and touched hearts from coast to coast, her magnetic personality bringing people together in harmony.

Janaye was more than a friend; she was a guiding star, offering comfort in times of sorrow and sharing joy in moments of triumph. Her spirit, vibrant and full of compassion, continues to inspire us, even in her absence.

Though we can no longer see her, Janaye's essence lingers on. We feel her presence in the gentle breeze, hear her laughter in the rustle of leaves, and hold her close in the memories we cherish.

May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory serve as a source of comfort and strength in the days ahead.

Forever remembered, forever loved, Forever Janaye!
